If Queen Elizabeth I were alive today I think she would want to wear absolutely everything in Balmain’s Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection - if only the designer had opted for a Tudor rose instead of the red in the cameo-inspired embellishments! The amount of pearls and other stones sewn on to these garments is unreal. And then wait! Are those pink velvet pants?! Be still my heart! This show is oh so Renaissance.

noting better than up close and personal with BALMAIN.
one of my favorite fashion houses, the details are so amazing and almost at par with CHANEL and their true craftsmanship.
i love the fact that they went with a subtle baby blue and the classic navy. combining all my favorite fabrics and ‘pant suit’ styles, they came up with a pretty much VERY wearable collection- if i could afford to buy this, i would.
the tailoring is superb, above all.
